Ever since buying our first alpacas, it has been Jude’s dream to turn alpaca fibre into luxury garments.  When the alpaca industry was just evolving, this was particularly difficult as there were so few means to convert the fleece into yarn.  It required either hours of hand spinning or pooling enough fleeces of the same colour and quality to warrant sending to a commercial processor.  Several years down the track, alpaca owners and fibre enthusiasts Peter and Tessa McKay have started up their own mill where they convert yarn lots as small as the fleece from one animal into luxurious usable product.  Now there is no excuse for anyone not to be able to turn the exotic fibre from their own animals into wonderful, exciting products.

Here is a selection of garments made from our animals and made up, either by hand knitting, or a Brother electronic knitting machine.

Depending upon available time, Jude accepts some commission orders for exclusive lined jackets made from 100% alpaca (frequently enhanced with exciting fabric trims).  She sources the highest quality products available (100% silk or Italian lining fabrics) and often hand-makes the buttons to ensure that they complement the finished garment in style.
